That's why vague "realism" rankings don't help here. A useful AI companion chat app comparison judges the parts you'll touch every night:

• Memory: does she carry the conversation forward, or start over each time?
• Voice: calls and voice messages, and which plan unlocks them.
• Photos of the same character, with the same face and body from one request to the next.
• Video: where it comes from and what it costs.
• The currency behind all of it, Stars or DreamCoins, because that's where media costs land.

The short answer: GoLove.ai is the pick. Photos and video come from inside the chat, and they stay the same character. OurDream holds its own on price and bundling, and the table further down gives it credit for both.

Where the $19.99 Actually Goes: Stars vs DreamCoins

Month one is easy. Everything's new. The real test is month three, once you know what you actually use.

GoLove PRO runs about $19.99 a month or $119.88 a year. That covers all NSFW content, character creation, voice messages and calls, unlimited Feed, image generation, and 100 Stars restored each billing month. Here's where those Stars go:

• 1 Star per image, so photos barely dent the allowance.
• 10 Stars for a 720p video. This is where a month's Stars drain fastest.
• Refills start at a 30-Star pack for about $9.99.

GoLove.ai, myth vs. fact:

• Myth: She forgets you the moment the tab closes — Fact: She remembers your chat history

ULTRA, at about $59.99 a month, adds more monthly Stars (we could not confirm the exact amount), a discount on Star refills, stronger models, 8,000-message memory and priority creation.

On the other side, OurDream Premium matches the price: about $19.99 a month, or about $9.99 a month on an annual plan. You get 1,000 DreamCoins per cycle for images, voice and video, and Deluxe sits at about $59.99. Coins and Stars don't convert neatly (don't bother trying), so judge each plan by what you'd realistically make in a normal week.

When the Companion Steps Out of the Chat Window

Most companion apps stop at the chat window. GoLove gives its characters a second life on screen.

Series is GoLove's own line of 18+ vertical short dramas, built for a phone. Take "My AI Girlfriend": 7 episodes starring Lexie. Milo keeps a package addressed to the girl next door, and inside are glasses that bring his perfect girl to life. Episodes 1 and 2 of every series are free to watch, even without an account. From episode 3 on, you need PRO plus a few Stars per episode, and GoLove says new episodes come out every week.

Under the player there's a Start Chatting button. Tap it and you're in Lexie's chat. It's her, not a lookalike.

Feed flips that direction. It's a full-screen stream of clips you swipe through, and each clip carries a Remix wand that opens the generator with that clip's character, action, outfit and scene already filled in. Change one detail, generate your own version.

It sounds like a side feature. I'd argue it's one of the strongest parts of the app for continuity. The character exists beyond your messages, and she still answers you.

Who GoLove.ai Is Not For (and When OurDream Makes More Sense)

GoLove.ai isn't the right call for everyone. Skip it if you:

• want a fully free, unlimited app. On the free side, what we could confirm is 2 daily reward Stars, a limited daily Feed and episodes 1–2 of each Series.
• want a male companion. Explore lists "Male (Soon)," so not yet.
• want voice without paying. Voice messages and calls are PRO features.
• want a stand-in for a real human relationship. It's a companion app, and it works best when you treat it like one.

Two things I'd fix. First, the price you see may not match the one here, because GoLove runs regional pricing and rotating promos. Second, we could not confirm how many free Feed videos you get each day before the paywall appears. Neither is a dealbreaker, but both are worth knowing before you pay.

Would OurDream suit you better? Pick it if you'd rather have one subscription that bundles chat, image and video, and you're happy staying in a browser. That's a real strength, not a consolation prize. It just isn't the continuity this search is about.

What I'd Do With the First Evening

If it were my first evening, I'd keep it low-effort and go in this order.

Watch the two free episodes of one Series. Then tap Start Chatting with its star and ask for one photo, described in your own words. That single request tells you more about continuity than any ranking, mine included.

Next, try Design with AI. Write up to 2,000 characters about who you want: her look, her personality, the way she talks. In about a minute you get a named character with her own bio and portrait, for about 3 Stars. New characters are private by default, so nobody else sees her unless you choose.

New accounts also see a −70% first-subscription offer, which GoLove labels as limited-time.

My verdict, no fluff: GoLove.ai is the pick for this search because the same character carries through chat, photo, video, voice and story. That's what the subscription should be paying for.
