That free-to-chat entry moves the math more than the sticker price does. On MyDreamCompanion my money was gone before I found the memory problem. On GoLove I'd had a voice call and a photo request answered before any card came out.

If your use case is genuinely just end-of-day reflective typing, and voice and photos never enter into it, MyDreamCompanion does that at low effort and there's nothing wrong with it. But you probably landed here searching for a MyDreamCompanion alternative because something already felt thin — my money's on the memory. That's the exact gap GoLove closes, with voice and in-chat photos stacked on top.
My honest advice: don't create a character first. Open Explore, talk to Araya or Kennedy for one session, close the tab, come back tomorrow and see whether she picks the thread back up. That's the test MyDreamCompanion failed for me by Wednesday.
